THE BLOOD OF JESUS HEALS!

THE BLOOD OF JESUS HEALS!

If you struggle with pain in your body and need a breakthrough of healing, his blood is for you.

If you have issues in your physical body that limit you, hold you back, bring you discomfort, and you cannot get free, his blood is for you.

All through the New Testament, we see one thing as a constant truth:

The blood of Jesus heals!

Come on and say it with me:

THE BLOOD OF JESUS HEALS!

You and I  must stand on this vital truth and refuse the devil any ground in our life through the door of our physical body.

We must close the door to the devil and everything bombarding us.

Healing is through the blood of Jesus.

Healing is the meat, the nourishment of God’s children.

You do not need to live a life of physical pain and suffering because Jesus was your complete substitute.

In every sense of the word “substitute”, Jesus came through and did the work.

He took your place.

Often we feel like it’s easy to increase our faith for salvation. We know from scripture that Jesus took our sins, but there is MORE.

It is not only your sins that he took. Jesus bore your sickness and pain in his own body, and healing from sickness is part of the covenant of God with his people.

The blood of Jesus heals!

Let’s read it:

Isaiah 53:4-6 NKJV

[4] Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.

Did you realize that Jesus carried your sorrows?

Did you know that he took your griefs?

In his own body, he carried those things away.

Outside the walls of Jerusalem, they led him to Golgotha, the place of the skull, and Jesus was crucified between two thieves. They pierced his side. They drove nails through his hands and feet.

Jesus died on that cross for your sins and mine.

If only we choose to believe in his sacrifice and that he died and rose again on the third day, we would be saved.

But often, the devil will not fight against your being changed, if he gets to keep hold of one stronghold in your life.

So often, the enemy wants to keep God’s people bound by sickness, pain, discomfort, and the grief that comes with it.

Sickness and disease do not only bring pain, but they also usher in seeds of doubt.

And the longer you deal with your pain, the greater the seeds of doubt grow.

Just as faith grows by the Word of God, doubt grows as we focus on our pain, sickness, or disease, and the devil knows that it is difficult to concentrate through extreme pain, constant pain, and pressing pain.

So if your focus becomes divided, and you stop looking to the Word of God, your faith erodes, and you become weak.

But you can cling to this good news:

The blood of Jesus heals!

The cross of Jesus brought about a healing power for God’s people.

Included in the sacrifice and new covenant is HEALING!

His back was bloody as Jesus hung between heaven and earth on that cross. The flesh hanging from his back in chewed-up strips and deep gashes revealed the muscle fibers, nerves, tendons, and possibly even the parts of his spine.

The pain must have been excruciating, but he went through it FOR YOU and ME!

[5] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. [6] All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

The blood of Jesus ran hot and red through the valleys of flesh created by the whip of the Roman soldier.

The blood of Jesus ran through those stripes, making atonement for your sins and bringing healing to your body.

The blood of Jesus heals!

Through scripture, we see four things happening:

  1. Jesus TOUCHED people and brought healing to their bodies.
  1. People TOUCHED Jesus and got healing for their bodies.
  1. Jesus SAID words to people that brought healing to their bodies.
  1. Jesus DID something by faith that brought healing to their body.

These things are still true today.

Jesus is still touching people.

People are still touching Jesus.

However, the difference between then and now is we have the healing power of Jesus available to us through his covenant!

We can claim the healing blood and stripes of Jesus under the covenant as children of God!

No more hoping, wishing, and pleading; instead, we start receiving because of the cross and the stripes of Jesus!

We receive in the same way that all the others did, by faith.

Scripture says:

Mark 11:22-24 NKJV

[22] So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. [23] For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. [24] Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

These scriptures are the essence of the power of faith.

Faith produces something inside of people.

Faith brings results.

The timing is not always as quick as we would like, but faith brings results nonetheless.

I want to encourage you to keep believing, keep seeking, keep “saying by faith,” and keep pressing in for your miracle because those who move out in faith will have whatever they say...not my words, but Jesus’ words.

Specifically, how do we receive healing?

  1. Claim the covenant blood of Jesus, which provided for healing.
  1. Step out in faith in some way. (Speaking, physically doing something you could not do before, standing on the promises of God. Sometimes it can be as simple as making a move from your seat as you respond to the invitation for prayer.)
  1. Continue to stand on the promises of God instead of focusing on the symptoms. (I realize this can be much easier said than done, but you must press through your pain and reach out to touch Jesus.)

But most importantly, healing always comes through faith!

Luke 18:35-43 NKJV

[35] Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging. [36] And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant. [37] So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. [38] And he cried out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” [39] Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” [40] So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him, [41] saying, “What do you want Me to do for you?” He said, “Lord, that I may receive my sight.” [42] Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.” [43] And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, WHEN THEY SAW IT, gave praise to God.

We see that in this story, Jesus SAID, “receive your sight.” Jesus spoke. Why is that important? Because Jesus IS the word, and the word is still speaking.

If you receive the word of God regarding healing by faith, you will receive your healing.

Mark 8:22-25 NKJV

[22] Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him. [23] So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything. [24] And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.”

We see evidence in this verse of progressive healing. Healing doesn’t always happen all at once. Sometimes healing is progressively brought into our lives, step by step. We are to keep believing by faith until the FULL manifestation of healing comes.

Do not give up in the middle of your healing. Instead, let God finish the work he started.

[25] Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.

In this story, we read that Jesus acted by faith, and his action brought forth healing.

See, healing doesn’t always happen the same way for everyone.

Some hear the word and respond, and healing comes. Others, for whatever reason, need more.

I encourage you not to quit seeking God for your healing, even if Jesus has to spit in your eyes!

Matthew 8:1-3 NKJV

[1] When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. [2] And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” [3] Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Don’t let the devil fool you!

Jesus is STILL WILLING to reach out and TOUCH YOU!

You can receive your healing from God because the blood of Jesus purchased your healing.

His blood is healing blood.

Jesus is still walking the earth through the Holy Ghost, reaching out to touch people with his hands. Even now, the Lord is present to heal. His power is present to perform his word in your life.

Don’t allow the devil to make you think healing is for everyone except you. You are unique to God. If you are already a child of God, you are special because you belong to Jesus, and if you have not yet been saved, you are still special to God, and he chose to give Jesus in your place because he loves you.

The bottom line is that healing is available today because of the healing blood that flowed from Jesus’ back.

Lastly, we see in scripture that, at times, we must determine to press through and receive our healing. For whatever reason, healing doesn’t always come easy. Sometimes you must decide in your heart that you will receive healing from God no matter what.

Let’s read about it:

Mark 5:25-34 NKJV

[25] Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, [26] and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. [27] When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.

In this verse, we find some keys to receiving.

First, she “heard” about Jesus. She heard the word. Jesus IS the word! What does scripture teach us? Faith comes by hearing. So when she heard about Jesus, faith started growing in her heart and her spirit.

No doubt she had heard of the many miracles that Jesus had done for others, and her heart began to fill will hope that he could do the same for her.

So then, faith is always the key to receiving, and our actions prove faith. So she decided to take action. She came up with a crazy faith idea to press through the crowd, which probably was very difficult in her condition, and she told herself, “if only I can reach out and touch the hem of his garment, I will be healed.”

Say this with me, “I will be healed in Jesus’ name!”

She allowed her faith in Jesus, her faith in the word, to inform her mind, which caused her to move her body, and press in to touch the Lord.

[28] For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

One of the meanings of the word “clothes” in this passage is “mantle.”

Whether she realized it or not, she touched the anointing of God on Jesus’ life. Scripture declares, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me.”

Remember the story of Elijah the prophet and his student Elisha?

We see that Elisha needed the MANTLE of Elijah to become the prophet in his absence, so in this case, also, the mantle represented the anointing.

The battle is always for your mantle.

The battle is always to keep you from touching the anointing.

The battle is always to erode your faith before you encounter God’s Spirit.

Whether knowingly or not, she touched the anointing, and anytime you touch the anointing, you are changed.

You touch the anointing by faith. It takes faith to reach out and touch the anointing on Jesus.

[29] Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. [30] And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”

Her faith in the healing power of Jesus literally pulled out his healing power.

[31] But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’” [32] And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. [33] But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. [34] And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

I’m telling you there is POWER in the blood of Jesus to heal your body!

The healing power flowed out of every battered, bloody whip mark on Jesus’ back.

And because he loves you, God offers you the same promise of healing that people had when Jesus physically walked the earth.

Actually, we have access to even more because the Holy Spirit is in every place at once, and he is offering you healing.

Healing is available by faith in the power of Jesus’ blood and stripes and through faith in the word of God.

His blood is healing blood.

Let me leave off with one more passage of scripture to stand upon:

Matthew 8:16-17 NKJV

[16] When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed ALL who were sick, [17] that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”

Here’s what to do:

• Tell pain and sickness to leave your body NOW in Jesus’ name!

• If you want to receive your healing, begin declaring the truth of God’s word over your life.

• Say, “I am healed NOW in Jesus’ name.”

• Say, “By faith, I receive the healing Jesus purchased for me.”

• Say, “I am touching Jesus by faith, and healing is coming into my body.”

• Do not quit until you see your healing manifest in your body through the power of his healing blood!
